Markets Committee

The Purpose of the Market:

The Vashon Farmers Markets support VIGA’s mission by creating an inclusive space for producers and creators to sell their goods to consumers in an equitable, friendly, and accessible environment. We believe that listening to our community and being transparent about our decision making fosters this environment. It is the duty of the Markets Committee to create, support, and implement the infrastructure that guides daily operations to ensure the VIGA mission is executed for the community.

 

Committee Membership:

Membership of the Markets Committee is open to all members of the Vashon community. All Markets Committee meetings will be open and available to all whom want to participate: farmers, crafters, and community members. We recognize that local residents may be more in tune with issues that affect the market and may be more connected to resources that can assure the market a strong position in the community.

Leadership and Representative positions are currently open for 2022.
